WASTED GENERATION

“Wasted Generation” (or the thrown away generation) is the name chosen for this project and succeeds in highlighting this collective of young musicians at their very best.
“We are keen to emphasize this identity aspect because, although the adjectives might sound pessimistic, the term ‘generation’ is what unites us. We are all young musicians born between the years 1996 and 2000 who felt the need to interface with each other, trying to give birth to a new community. Although we may be less mature anagraphically, we are full of creative ideas, values and, above all, personality.” Our group’s name, therefore, is a snub to those who still believe that the younger generation has nothing to say, is lazy, has shallow ideals, and capable only of dreaming without being able to realize those dreams in a semblance of reality.

What could be more beautiful than admiring the beauty of the Valchiavenna valley while walking to an AmbriaJazz Festival concert? If this is what lies between two of the Province’s most beautiful wonders, then it is really worth the trek.
Bring a hat, water bottle and hiking boots: you will find drinking fountains on the way. The route is on a level terrain and not at all strenuous. The area is so rich in touristic offerings that we recommend that you spend the whole day there. For lunch, try out the Crotti, natural caves or grottos that have been converted into rustic tavernas/ restaurants…. but book in advance!

by Thursday, 27.06 so that we can book the visit to Vertemate Franchi Palace for you as well. Propone the departure at 2:00 p.m. from the parking lot shown on the map near Acquafraggia Falls.
On the other hand, if you wish to move independently, know that from the parking lot there are several connecting paths, you can choose whether the less strenuous one or the path through the woods that passes near the Valledrana bell tower, are indicated at this link.

We highly recommend a refreshing stop at Acquafraggia Falls before the concert at St. Abbondio Church, which is marked on the map as Museo Scavi.
