This trio consisting of Cristina Renzetti on vocals, Gabriele Mirabassi on clarinet, and Roberto Taufic on guitar was formed in 2013 and assembled by their common passion for Brazilian auteur music. The group’s first album “Correnteza“ was recorded live and in analog in the Church of Santa Croce in Umbertide and dedicated to the refined repertoire of the great Antonio Carlos Jobim. With their 2018 album “Agreste” the trio delves into the sounds of Brazil’s interiorto discover its deepest soul. The musical itinerary continues through the mountains of Central Italy and in Sardinia, the territories of shepherds and wilderness.

The three musicians treat traditional folk material by focusing on the combined values of chamber music with close attention to the quality of sound and a deep respect for the original lyrics and melodies. At the same time they give importance to the freedom and propensity for improvisation ( listening and dialogue) which are characteristic in their common jazz backgrounds.
