Mirabassi Trio | AMORI SOSPESI
Gabriele Mirabassi clarinet, Pierluigi Balducci acoustic bass, Nando Di Modugno classical guitar
The three musicians perform an evocative musical “journey” from the Mediterranean to South America where jazz, folklore and echoes of the classical tradition intersect. The prominent melodic component of their repertoire provides for the strong link between Italian and Mediterranean identities. The trio delves into their land of origin and its ancestral melodies’ while simultaneously blending these melodies with the sound and voices of Latin America populated by nomadic Italians and migrants living in a perpetual sense of disorientation, in search for their own roots and “perhaps futile sense of suspension.” Each concert by this trio becomes an engaging experience, capable of conveying the emotion and pathos that arise from ‘feeling’ the deep and ancestral meaning of Music, in which a strong sense of community contributes to the defeat of individual isolation and loneliness.

What could be a more beautiful way to admire the Valtellina landscape than walking en route to an AmbriaJazz Festival Concert?
Departure from Triassus Square at 4 p.m.
The ancient rock engravings in Ganda are not marked but you can easily find them by driving along the road from Triasso to the Moroni district. After about 500 meters you will see a fountain, just before it there is a small road going up to the right towards the forest. Go along that small road, pass the first house and at the gate of the second house there’s a sign explaining the rock engravings. Enter freely through the gate, the carvings are on the cliff in front of the house.
After seeing the engravings, it is best to retrace your steps to the intersection and take the road via Grigioni, which will bring you closer to the Leone Trabucchi Auditorium.
