Carlo Maver – SOLENNE
Charles Maver bandoneon, flutes
A countercurrent, intimate concert in search of emotions, poetry, the boundaries between silence and music, sacred and profane, moving from liturgical atmospheres to travel tales that smell of tango and exotic atmospheres, immersed in the intense sound of Carlo Maver‘s bandoneon and flutes.
Carlo Maver is a flutist, bandoneonist, and composer with a passion for solitary travel to exotic and remote countries. These life experiences have been and continue to be authentic sources and creative inspiration for his music. For Maver, melody is always his starting point from which he develops his lyrically musical discourse, imbued with Tango and sounds from the Mediterranean regions. He is one of the few students to have studied with the great Argentine bandoneonist, Dino Saluzzo.
This is a very special concert performed in a location that is, to say the least, just wonderful. For this concert only, you’ll have to walk if you want to attend. There are a few hiking rules to follow that you’ll find below in the space dedicated to #jazzcamminante.

#jazzcamminante on foot
For #jazzcammminante we’ll take the shortest and least strenuous route from the Piàz parking lot just upstream from the hamlet of Viano, along a dirt road that can be hiked in 30 minutes and traces the route of the Via Valtelina – elevation gain of about 200 m. – Departure at 4 p.m.
