In this new live concert, As Madalenas presents songs from their third self-titled album released in May 2023 by Jando Music (Via Veneto Jazz) in which the two singers and multi-instrumentalists also appear as songwriters, mostly of original compositions.
Among the most active performers of Brazilian music in Italy, singer-songwriters Renzetti and Valle celebrate ten years of live activity together this year, with hundreds of concerts under their belt.
After the summer tour with a new quintet, together with Ferruccio Spinetti (artistic director of the record), Roberto Taufic and Bruni Marcozzi, they return to the stage as a duet performing sparse but essential versions of their songs joining together their voices, guitars, and percussion in a unique concert full of freshness and intensity.
DAY OF KINDNESS: a beautiful initiative to share
The Day of Kindness is organized by the inhabitants of the district of San Giuseppe, just north of Ardenno, in collaboration with Pro Loco of Ardenno. During the day the townspeople prepare and distribute polenta and fresh milk free of charge to all who show up with a bowl and spoon! Visitors are also invited to bring something to eat, drink and share with everyone at this pot-luck event. Now THAT’S kindness.

Other useful information: To get to the Borgo di S. Giuseppe follow the road to Gaggio where we recommend parking your vehicle and walking to the concert site. The trail is uphill and takes about 20 minutes.A shuttle service will be available if needed.

Germogli Sonori - Children's Workshop
Music and play workshops for children from 6 to 13 years old
Lawn of St. Joseph’s Church 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. .

In this workshop, “Sound Games from Nature” Is a type of “scavenger hunt” for natural sounds heard in this beautiful alpine landscape. The children will listen for rhythmic and melodic sounds in this natural setting but also search for and discover natural objects that produce sound and have been the basis for the creation of musical instruments throughout history and across cultures. Sound Games in Nature is an entry point within everyone’s reach and encourages the relationship between nature, sound, instrumentation and music. The objective is to “plant the seeds” of motivation and desire to produce sound and perhaps spark a passion to learn to play an instrument.
In addition to having direct contact with musicians “Germogli Sonori” is also about listening, comparing, the learning about many different instruments which hopefully inspirie children to identify the one they like best.

What could be a more beautiful way to admire the Valtellina landscape than walking en route to an AmbriaJazz Festival Concert?
Taking the Via dei Terrazzamenti from Ardenno, hike along a historic path that connects various districts. You can discover enchanting views, admire the valley from an unusual prospective and take a break from the sun walking through the shaded woods.
Bring a hat, water bottle and hiking boots: you will find drinking fountains along the route. The path is on a gentle uphill and very scenic.
If you want to travel to the performance with other concert goers, meet us for a departure at 9:00 from Piazza Roma in Ardenno, in front of City Hall, where there is also parking
