Daykoda is the stage name chosen by the twenty-six-year-old Milanese producer, Andrea Gamba. His eccentric approach to music, focused on experimentation and electronic production and infused with jazz and abstract hip-hop has resulted in a project that stands outside the mainstream national scene. Over the years, the sound production by innovative labels such as Brainfeeder and Ninja Tune, have influenced and refined Andrea’s taste. This appreciation has become a focal point of his work and has pushed him to improve and master his own production style. Daykoda produces unconventional electronic music considered “out of the box”, colored by experimental nu-jazz, and inspired by the sounds of Flying Lotus, Kamaal Williams, Thundercat and the entire British jazz scene. Andrea is extremely active on the music scene through radio appearances and live shows where he has performed with his newly formed quartet. Among such events have been VIVA! Festival, Linecheck, Fano Jazz, Spring Attitude, Jazz Re:Found, JazzMi and Rosetum Jazz. In July 2022, Andrea was super welcomed as a support-act for Thundercat at the Circolo Magnolia.

His work has received the support of national and international media personalities such as Tom Ravenscroft (BBC Radio 6), Skinny Pelembe (Bronswood), Tina Edwards (Worldwide FM), Travis Holcombe (KCRW), Raffaele Costantino (Rai Radio 2), Nubya Garcia, Lefto, Laurent Garnier among many others, including the Italian webzine Soundwall who have called him the “Italian Flying Lotus”.

With the contribution and patronage of
